In the anticipation of the new season, watch the official video from the final race of the World Skate Cross series 2016, which was held in Lyon on the 25th of September. The winners, Mathilde Monneron and Flavien Du Peloux share their emotions right after the victory, to inspire you for the 2017 season!
18 events later and after the WSX final, which was held in Lyon, France, here is the final WSX World standings 2016! Florian Petitcollin (Fra) is a new World Champion ! Mathilde Monneron
(Fra) made an absolute record, she wins again the WSX Women's World Championship for the 4th consecutive year !
The winner of the Imagin Extreme Barcelona main event and French Freeride Championship, Florian Petitcollin (Fra) became a new WSX World Champion! The winner of the WSX final, Flavien Du Peloux (Fra) takes the second place for the third year in a row. Leandre Mage (Fra) finishes on the third step of the podium, which is one step higher than last year. Italian skater, Giorgio Cossaro (Ita) won 3 places and is up to the 4th position. Maxence Clusaz (Fra) went up from the 15th place to the 5th position this year. Daniel Molinari (Fra) is up to the 6th place, winning 8 ranks. Federico Delfino (Ita) is now 7th (+5). Danilo Martins (Bra) entered the TOP-10 directly on the 8th place. Spanish riders, Jonatan Santos and Alejandro Rahali Vicente complete the TOP-10 of the final WSX World chamionships ranking 2016 on the 9th and 10th places respectively.
Mathilde Monneron (Fra) is still at the top and she’s been doing so for 4 consecutive years ! Alice Delfino (Ita) takes the 2nd place of the WSX World Championship Ranking for the 2nd consecutive year! Charline Marillier (Fra) won 4 ranks and is up directly to the 3rd position! Jessica Billard (Fra) lost one line and is down to the 4th place this year. Elisabeth Duchemin (Fra) won 8 places and is now 5th. Auriane Daries (Fra) keeps her 6th position from 2015. Mallaury Dubernet (Fra) went up from the 12th to the 7th place. Italian Francesca Conzi entered the TOP-10 on the 8th position (+21). Maud Oguey (Fra) is now 9th. Spanish Sara Vilella completed the TOP-10 2016 on the 10th place.
The final race of the World Skate Cross series 2016 was held in Lyon on the 25th of September. 55 skaters from France, Italy, Spain, Brazil and Ireland did their best to win the most important competition of this season.
Flavien Du Peloux (Fra) won the final skate cross event for the first time in his skating career! He was already second in 2015, 2014 and 2012. This time, he was the fastest until the final and got the victory of the biggest race 2016.
Florian Petitcollin (Fra) was the fastest skater in the time trials (26, 674 sec) and stayed unbeaten until the final, where he finished behind Flavien and took the second place.
Martin Barrau (Fra) took the third position, leaving the fourth place for Maxence Clusaz (Fra).
Even with his second place in the final and thanks to the total points, Florian Petitcollin (Fra) won the World Championships 2016 for the first time in his career! Flavien Du Peloux (Fra) took the second place of the final Ranking 2016, just like one year ago. Léandre Mage (Fra) is on the third place!
The World Champion 2015, Mathilde Monneron (Fra) showed the best result of the qualification (30, 948 sec) and was fastest for all her runs, including the big final. She got the victory of the final race 2016, leaving the second place for the last year's final winner, Alice Delfino from Italy. Alice was the second during the qualification (31, 244 sec) and did great, finishing first in the quarter and semi finals and took the second place of the final event of this year. Francesca Conzi (Ita) took the third place finishing the big final race in front of Elisabeth Duchemin (Fra), who took the fourth position.
Mathilde Monneron (Fra) is the World Champion for the 4th time in a row!!! This is the best result and the absolute record ever. Alice Delfino (Ita) repeated her results from last year and took the second place of the final ranking 2016. Charline Marillier (Fra) is taking the third position.
As there is still no confirmation for the Asian step and the Moscow event was cancelled, the final World Championship ranking rule will be adapted to use the best 2 results per skater instead of the best 3.
The major events 2016, Barcelona and Lyon, will determine the best skaters 2016.
The French step, which will be held in Lyon on September 25th, will become the 2016 final, where the best skaters will challenge each other for the World Champion title.

WSX WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS PROVISORY STANDINGS 2016
After 14 steps of the season 2016, here are the new WSX World Championships provisory standings and the new leaders of Men's and Women's categories!
After his victory of the first 2016 WSX main event, French skater Florian Petitcollin is the new provisory leader of the Men's category! Flavien Du Peloux (Fra) is on the second position. Daniel Molinari (Fra) takes the third place. Loann Lacambra (Fra) did great, entering the TOP-10 at the fourth rank. Nathan Riou (Fra) is now 5th. Leandre Mage (Fra) takes the 6th position. French skaters Ruddy Bibi, Hugo Cardinal, Theo Chagnaud and Lucien Hugues are completing the TOP-10 at the 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th places respectively.
Jessica Billard from France is the new provisory leader of the Women's category. The world champion 2014-2015, Mathilde Monneron (Fra) is currently at the third place. Sandrine Rangeon (Fra) did great going directly to the second place. Anna Houssais (Fra) is now at the 4th rank. Alice Delfino from Italy takes the 5th position. Flora Stephan (Fra) is now 6th. Faria Ornella (Fra) and Julia Cardinal (Fra) are at the 7th and 8th places respectively. Charline Marillier (Fra) gets the 9th rank. Veronique Pertoldi (Fra) is now 10th.
In the Team Cross ranking, "Tarzan" Team from France with Flavien Du Peloux and Léandre Mage takes the first place. "Les Bugs" with Oscar Briex (Fra) and Charlie Lafenêtre (Fra) is now ranked 2nd. "Nord Sud" represented by Daniel Molinary (Fra) and Warren Digne (Fra) gets the third position.
The first 2016 WSX main event was held on 19th June in Barcelona, Spain. More than 40 strongest skaters from 11 different countries were invited to challenge each other for the first big race of this season.
French rider Florian Petitcollin was the strongest skater of this event! Showing the best qualification time (33,295 sec), he won all his races and reached the first step of the podium! This is his first big victory and his best result so far! The 2015 Vice-Champion, Flavien Du Peloux showed the second qualification time (33,434 sec) and took the second place. Léandre Mage (Fra) finished at the third place of the podium!
The current world number one, Mathilde Monneron from France confirmed her title of the strongest skater 2015 and got the victory of the women's final! She was the fastest in the qualification (35,761 sec) and won all her runs, including the big final! Italian Alice Delfino continues to improve! She showed the second qualification time (37,966 sec) and finished second! French skater Charline Marillier made her best result so far, showing the third time in the qualification (38,997 sec) and taking the third place of this important event!
We are pleased to announce the next 3 stars event which will be held in Barcelona on the 19th June 2016.
Last year was a successfull event and organization is now working on a new track with better ramps.
