The official video of the last WSX step of the season, held in Moscow (Rus). Thanks to his victory, Ilya Sukhenko (Rus) is the winner of the 2012 WSX World Championships. Marjorie Phlippoteau (Fra) wins the women category for the 2nd consecutive year.
Ilya Sukhenko (Rus) got another victory at WSX Moscow ! After performing the best time in qualifications, he could manage to enter the final and cross the finish line in first position, in front of Flavien Du Peloux (Fra) and Maxim Anin (Rus) ! This year the level was very high and the races very tough, a lot of impressive crashes changed the expected results. With this victory, I.Sukhenko takes the lead in the world ranking and should win 2012 World Series. Full results here
In the women competition, Marjorie Phlippoteau (Fra) leader of the world ranking, was the favorite again for this race. The surprise came in the qualifications when the local skater Irina Davydova (Rus) crossed the finish line with the best time. During the group runs, I.Davydova made it all the way to the final, despite of a fall in the quarter finals, and took the first place after a race which she controlled perfectly from the beginning till the end. M.Phlippoteau crossed the finish line in 3rd position, behind Alexandra Sukhareva (Rus), second.
Ilya Sukhenko (Rus) won the local race of Ulyanovsk (Rus) and is going up in the world ranking to the 4th place, before the international WSX in Moscow, to be held on September 15th. Alexandra Sukhareva (Rus) won the women race, and goes up to the 4th place as well. Full results here
The final of 6th stage of the World skate cross series (Arsac, France) has been cancelled due to the bad weather conditions. Flavien Du Peloux (Fra), best time and winner of the qualifications, has been declared winner of this stage. Marjorie Phlippoteau (Fra) wins as well the women category thanks to her best qualification time.
First victory this season for Romain Godenaire (Fra) in local WSX in Rennes, France. After a lot of surprising eliminations of the favorites for the final, R.Godenaire, best time in qualifications won the final against Y.Fort (Fra), P.Y.Blanchard (Fra) and W.Digne (Fra). Kevin Quintin (Fra) won again in Rome for the 4th step of the World Skate Cross Series. After realizing the best time in qualifications, he won all the races until the final, which was very tight. Niccolo DeMasi (Ita) took the second place and F.Du Peloux (Fra) finished 3rd. Marjorie Phlippoteau (Fra) won the women's final. Results here
The 3rd step of the World Skate Cross Series was held in Beidaihe, China. CJ Wellsmore (Aus), for his first participation in the series, dominated all races to get his first victory, in front of A.Finocchiaro (Fra) and I.Sukhenko (Rus). Cai Ran (Chn) won the women final. Results Here
First victory of the season for 2011 World N.1 Kevin Quintin from France, who dominated the Sankt-Wendel WSX race from the beginning to the end. He crossed the finish line in first position in front of F.DuPeloux (Fra) ; J.DePaoli (Sui) took the 3rd place after the disqualification of F.Quinger (Ger). A local World Skate Cross Series event was held in Moscow on March 25th. Ilya Sukhenko (Russia) ranked at world's 10th place in 2011, won the final. His next challenge will be to beat the international skaters in Sankt Wendel, Germany. Results here.
